In 1988 Jake Sutton was commissioned by the Royal Mail to produce four paintings on the theme 'sport' for use as a set of commemorative stamps.

'Blue Peter' appearance

As part of the interest and publicity generated by the publication of the stamps Jake Sutton was invited to appear on the Blue Peter programme ,BBC television, to discuss the creation of the original artwork produced for the stamps.
